I’m not overly familiar with the FREDD MARSHALL brand, but I’ve seen a few of their shirts and they seem to have some decent-looking styles. I was looking for a long-sleeve casual shirt that I could wear during the fall, and I thought this one looked like a good option.

I’m 6'0" and around 165 lbs, and I ordered a medium. The fit is good for me and pretty much what I expected. The shoulders sit nicely, and the sleeve and overall body length are both good. I also like that the bottom is squared off, so I can wear it tucked in or leave it untucked depending on what I’m wearing.

The beige color looks good in person and gives it a nice casual/outdoorsy appearance. The cotton is lightweight and breathable, which I like, especially when wearing it indoors or on a warmer fall day. It should work well with jeans or chinos and is easy to incorporate into a casual outfit.

My main complaint is that the material is thinner than I was expecting. That isn't necessarily a bad thing, but I was hoping for something with a little more substance for a fall shirt. It also wrinkles pretty easily. I washed it in cold water and put it in the dryer on low heat, and it still came out pretty wrinkled and needed to be ironed.

That said, I do like the shirt overall. It’s comfortable, breathable, fits me well, and has a nice casual look. For me, the thinner material and tendency to wrinkle keep it from being a five-star shirt, but I’ll definitely get use out of it.

I've ordered from Fredd Marshall once before and I liked the cut and quality of the shirt. I selected this button up in hopes that the quality would be consistent and it absolutely is. This is a really nice cotton work shirt.

I'm 6’ at around 190-200lb and teeter between a large & xl, so I went with a size xl. It has a regular fit with plenty of room to move and allows a good range of motion. It has enough length in the sleeves to accommodate my long arms. It's also long enough in the torso for me to tuck it in while I'm working without it coming untucked. The shirt runs true to size.

I chose the khaki color option. The color is a bit darker than the pictures in the description but still a lighter shade.

The lighter mid-weight fabric is smooth and soft. It doesn't stretch. It has a small, tight weave that is good quality. Since it's 100% cotton, it's very breathable & comfortable to wear.

It has two functional chest pockets with button closures. They're deep enough for folded up papers or keys but not deep enough to hold a cell phone. They're appropriately sized for what you find on the average men's shirt. The gussets are for looks only, the pockets don't expand.

It's easy to button up & unbutton. There's no struggle to push through the buttonholes & the buttons are sewn on securely. One thing that I expected to see but didn't was an extra button sewn into the hemline, in case you lose one. This is an outdoors shirt so I feel like that's a necessity.

The workmanship is pretty good. The seams are strong and durable. The stitching is secure and even.

This is a good, comfortable work shirt when you're out doing chores on the ranch. The cotton breathes and wicks away sweat. It would also make a great hunting or fishing shirt. It has a classy, rugged looking appearance that works for going out to dinner or for date nights. Throw on a starched pair of wranglers and you're good to go. It's what my mom used to call a handsome man shirt haha.

It is machine washable in cold water on a gentle cycle. I tossed it in the dryer on low heat for about 3-4 minutes to help remove any wrinkles, then hung it up to dry. It held up well in the wash & kept its shape. There wasn't any noticeable shrinkage or fading.

At $19.99, this cotton work shirt is a great value for the money. It's a comfortable, nice quality button up that I should get several years of use out of.

In short: I'm genuinely impressed with this shirt and I can say honestly I'm going to look closely at this brand in the future. I had never heard of Fredd Marshall before ordering this shirt, and I'm very happy I did. The shirt is extremely well-made and very comfortable.

The first thing I should address is what the shirt is made of. The shirt is advertised as 100% cotton and as a person who is sensitive to synthetic clothing, I'm glad to report that I had no sensitivity issues with the shirt. I can conclude that this is most likely 100% cotton. The material is a tight knit woven material that does not stretch, but instead hangs loosely and has keep me relatively cool even in our most recent summer nights. I'm definitely going to wear this next time I go camping. Looking at the stitching, I believe that the shirt is constructed well. The stitching appears to be finished well and I don't expect it to fray anytime soon. Immediately after taking the initial images for my review, I ran the shirt through the wash on delicate using an organic detergent, followed by drying on delicate. I saw a very little sign of shrinkage, and I found almost no fading and the shirt generally came out looking as good as new. After washing, I also noticed that the shirt did not wrinkle as much as I would've expected it too. I am extremely pleased with the material.

As far as the fit goes, I think the shirt fits mostly as I expected it would. I believe that the shirt is cut for American sizing. I am 6 foot two and weigh approximately 170 pounds. I typically wear a 42 inch chest shirt and have a 33 inch waist. I ordered this shirt in a large because medium typically does not have a long enough sleeves for me. I find that the shirt had sufficiently long enough sleeves and gives me a good amount of space in the chest. Because I ordered a size up, it does fit a little boxy on me, but I still think it looks good. The overall length of the shirt was not as long as I would've liked, but generally not too short either. I think most American shoppers will not be surprised by the sizing of the shirt as well.

Aesthetically this is exactly the kind of button up shirt that I am drawn to. It has an outdoorsy kind of look that I typically look for when shopping. It has a casual kind of feel that is appropriate for most settings. The black has a nice neutral sheen to it, that goes well with jeans or khakis. I am extremely pleased with the look and I think I'm gonna be wearing it quite frequently.

The asking price is one of the best things about this shirt in my opinion. I think I paid the same price for a shirt of this quality 25 years ago, which is really saying something in today's economy. I would expect to pay at least twice as much for a shirt this quality anywhere else. If you have any interest in this type of look, I would say you should not sleep on this one. I highly recommend it. Five out of five stars.
